Our Association was established under the name of Association of Cyprus Turkish Engineers and Architects at the General Assembly Meeting on 3 December 1960 and was changed as Cyprus Turkish Engineers and Architects Union at the General Assembly held on 5 April 1970.

With the decision of the Constituent Assembly of the Turkish Federated State of Cyprus, numbered 12/76 and dated April 21, 1976, the Union of Chambers of Cyprus Turkish Engineers and Architects became a professional organization established by law.

In the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus, it is a legal entity that gathers the titles of Engineer, Master of Architects, Engineers, Architects and City planners authorized to practice their profession and arts, or graduates of an educational institution that is qualified to give another title equivalent to these titles. The Union of Chambers of Cyprus Turkish Engineers and Architects (KTMMOB), which is a professional organization in the nature of a public institution providing service, amended the law No. It continues its work with the Law No. 21/2005 published in the Official Gazette.
